Department of Computer Science and Engineering
The Department offers four year B.E. Computer Science and Engineering Programme with sanctioned intake of 60 from 2008-2009 onwards. The Department offers M.E. Computer Science and Engineering with an intake of 18 from 2012-2013 onwards. The Department is headed by Prof.Dr.S.Pathur nisha who has 19 years of teaching and 3 years of industrial experience. The department has well experienced and well qualifiedsenior faculty members. # The department was aggregated now with the intake seat capacity of 90 students from 2023-2024 onwards. |

Dr.S.Pathur Nisha
“Predicting the Happenings of Future Miracles”Hearty Welcome to the Department of CSE, Every Day of NIT-CSE Department starts with a dose of wisdom to blend and inculcate the professional skills in young minds for shaping their career. The Department offers both UG and PG Programme which primarily focus upon producing entrepreneurs and engineers to become globally competitive in delivering innovative solutions to diverse industrial domains. The Department has state of the art laboratory facilities for skill up gradation of students with new age skills like AI, Machine Learning, Data Science, Deep Learning and Big Data Analytics.
The highly dedicated faculty team sincerely adopts technically viable tools for delivering academic and laboratory sessions which ensures outcome based education in the campus. Faculty – Student collaborative activities are motivated to foresee a more conducive academic environment for every student joining the department. Students are monitored and guided towards actively participating in National and International level academic co-curricular and extracurricular activities. Students are encouraged to participate for research proposals in Government and Non- Government Schemes like TNSCST Project, Hackathon, NewGen IEDC Start-ups, NGI-TBI etc. like TNSCST Projects, Smart Hackathon, NewGen IEDC Start-ups and
The Department strives hard for receiving more academic laurels and accreditation status in the near future. The Department has alumni’s serving in leading positions in prominent industries such as ZOHO, TCS , HP, NTT Data, Vee Technologies, CSS Corp , Ultramain Technologies , Byju’s and PayTM, etc..

beans, ASP and JSP in this lab.
Linux Center:
To develop Applications on Open Source Technologies like PHP, PERL etc.
The Programming Languages Laboratory:
Students are trained in Languages like C, C++, VC++, JAVA, and Python.
RDBMS Laboratory:
Students use ORACLE, MySQl etc in this lab.
Advanced Computing Laboratories:
The advanced computing lab is equipped with 60 Systems to train the Students in
Microsoft Products and technologies installed for Mini and Major Project works.
Mobile Application Development Laboratory:
Students are trained to develop own Mobile application.
